Kiwi is the newest branch of that work: a young chihuahua of remarkable promise, brought into our family to carry the L-Wynd commitment to thoughtful breeding into a second breed.

The L-Wynd vision

Twenty years of breeding, now in two breeds.

For more than two decades, the L-Wynd name has stood for a way of breeding — careful pedigree research, rigorous health testing, and an unwavering respect for the dogs we bring into the world. That vision does not belong to one breed. With Kiwi, we are quietly extending the same standard, the same patience, and the same family-built program into a second breed.

Kiwi is co-owned by four people who have each shaped what L-Wynd is today: Lindsay Thorne; her mother and longtime co-breeder Mari Anne Phillips; her son Sloan; and Joyce, the thoughtful breeder of the Rejoyce Chihuahuas, who entrusted us with this exceptional young dog.
