US CH Flywire DavaL-Wynd Argyle Armada
[Short bio — bred by Michele Fitzgerald at Flywire, Argyle has a unique L-Wynd heritage: his sire DavaL-Wynd Bubblegum Cigar was from Lindsay’s 2015 Juicy × Deuce litter. So while Argyle was born at Flywire, he carries the same maternal lineage as Thorn (Poppet — another Juicy × Deuce daughter is Thorn’s dam).]
A breeding program is judged by the dogs it produces, not just the dogs at home. These hounds carry the L-Wynd and DavaL-Wynd lines into other homes, other rings, and other countries.
UK CH L-Wynd’s Where The Shadow Ends JW
Umbra’s full littermate brother (Willa × Riptide, June 2024 “Eclipse” litter), now living and showing in the UK with Amanda Carter. At LKA 2024, at just 6 months old, Kyren won the Dog CC, Best Opposite Sex, and Best Puppy in Breed — becoming the youngest dog ever to be awarded a Challenge Certificate in the United Kingdom. He went on to repeat the Dog CC, BOS, and BPIB at Crufts 2025 at 9 months old, the first dog Lindsay had ever bred to compete at the world’s largest dog show. He was named Joint Top Puppy Ibizan Hound in the UK 2024. In his first four months in the ring he accumulated 8 Best of Breed, 9 Best Puppy in Breed, Hound Group 1, and multiple Hound Puppy Group placements. A judge wrote that he is “one of the best I have had the privilege to judge.”
Twenty years of breeding is twenty years of loving and losing. These hounds left their mark on the lines, on this home, and on us.
DC Unigus She’s Like The Wynd SC
2002–[Year passed]The foundation. Bred by Patti Lane at Unigus and brought home by Lindsay in April 2003, Lwynd shaped every dog that followed. Across three litters between 2007 and 2012 she produced 24 puppies — among them Amazon, Juicy, Jason, Goliath, Breaker, and Nevaeh, who in turn became the parents and grandparents of every dog at L-Wynd today. She passed of old age.
US CH Gryphons Red Knight SC
2005–[Year passed]Bred by Susan Fegan at the Gryphons kennel, Crusader was the sire chosen for Lwynd’s first litter — the May 2007 “Mother’s Day” breeding that produced Amazon and seven siblings, launching the next generation of L-Wynd. He sired 18 puppies across two litters in 2007.
GCH L-Wynd’s Mother of Rivers SC
2007–2019Daughter of Lwynd and Crusader from the May 2007 “Mother’s Day” litter and co-bred with Mari Anne Phillips, Amazon was a defining female of the early program. Her one carefully-chosen litter — the March 2011 “Talent” breeding with Remi — produced eight puppies including her daughter Flutter (Madame Flutterbye) and the internationally-titled L-Wynd’s Talent Compels A Soul. She lived 12 years.
BIF GCH DC L-Wynd’s I Won’t Back Down SC
2012–[Year passed]From Lwynd’s third litter (Lwynd × Dart “Back to the Future”, May 2012), Breaker became one of the most decorated dogs in program history — a Dual Champion, Grand Champion, and Best in Futurity winner. His sister Nevaeh would go on to produce Willa, making Breaker the great-uncle of the current generation. He sired one carefully-chosen offspring with Flutter in 2015. Lost to leptospirosis.
GCH Nevaeh L-Wynd’s Blowing in the Wynd
2017–2024The heart of the modern program. Willa was the dam of three litters and 15 puppies between 2021 and her final June 2024 “Eclipse” litter — including four of the five dogs at home today (Misha, Ailani, Shaka, Umbra) and the UK Champion Kyren. She passed in September 2024, just three months after her last litter was born.
GCH L-Wynd’s Talented Madame Flutterbye SC
2011–[Year passed]Daughter of Amazon from the March 2011 Amazon × Remi “Talent” litter, and co-bred with Lindsay’s mother Mari Anne Phillips. Flutter produced one carefully-chosen litter in 2015 with Breaker, resulting in a single male puppy, L-Wynd’s Wicked Djinn.
